    When my kids were little we would get a fruit tray and a veggie tray, bring out all the blankets and pillows and watch movies until it was time for the ball to drop. This year, I get to do it with my grandkids. 😀

    Ever since we had our first child, we stay home. We usually make finger foods, let the kids stay up late, sometimes hats and blow things – nothing fancy but certainly safe and warm!

    Growing up, we used to have a New Years Party with sparklers for the kids and fondue for all. I would love to continue that tradition with my children one day.

    My favorite New Year’s tradition is we throw the old calendar out the front door and it’s “gone” the next day. We started this when our son was younger, still do it even though he’s 20. 🙂

    For new year’s I always just hang out with my family. My mom always makes sure we have something bubbly in every glass so we can toast in the new year – wine or champagne for the adults, sparkling cider or other juice for the under-agers. 🙂
