Creamy Shrimp Alfredo With Crab

We are a family who loves a good creamy Shrimp Alfredo. It’s one of the only seafood dishes I can get my husband to actually enjoy eating. I mixed it up, just a bit this time around and added some flaky crab. Turns out, this is the perfect seafood pasta recipe! It was done in less than 30 minutes too. Add a side salad, maybe some garlic bread and you’ve got an awesome family dinner!

Shrimp Alfredo Recipe Ingredients

Creamy Shrimp Alfredo With Crab Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 Box Linguine (prepare to box directions)
  • 1 LB Medium Shrimp ( I used frozen)
  • 1 Can White Crab Meat
  • 2 Green Onions (chopped)
  • 1/4 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 4 OZ Clam Juice
  • 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 3/4 Cup Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 1 TBS Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
  • Salt & Pepper To Taste

Directions:

In large skillet over medium heat, saute onions in oil. Stir in chicken broth and clam juice. Allow to boil, reduce heat. Add shrimp and crab meat. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir and allow to incorporate well. (about 5 minutes) Drain seafood, reserve liquid.

In large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour until smooth and no lumps remain. Slowly add milk and reserved liquid from seafood. Stir, stir, stir!! Allow mixture to thicken but not boil. Are ya still stirring?? Don’t stop! Only 2 minutes, you can do it!

Lower heat and add cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2 minutes. Mix in seafood and simmer for another 2 minutes. Plate on top of prepared Linguine. Serve hot. Enjoy!

I’ll have to send him the link here to your recipe and see if he wants to give it a try! It looks delicious!

I laughed about the stirring. 2 minutes does seem a long time though, when you’re stirring. 🙂

    • Marina says

      September 17, 2014 at 5:21 pm

Two minutes of stirring can seem like an eternity, especially when you’re waiting to eat something so delicious. Two minutes is also a long time when you’re trying to keep an eye on your kids, as well.

That looks amazing! I love that you used clam sauce. So many of these shrimp alfredo recipes are just shrimp thrown into alfredo sauce. The clam sauce really makes this.
