Easy Tuna Salad Kicked Up A Notch – Spicy Tuna Ceviche

The holidays are coming, we’re going to be eating a ton of delicious meals and desserts. But, most will be heavy. And totally fattening. That’s the fun part, right? What if I said I’ve got a super easy tuna salad that you can sneak in now for a lighter, fresher meal. And then also enjoy all year long? This is a wild caught Spicy Tuna Ceviche we’re making over here! 100% fresh. All natural ingredients. Ethan eats tons of tuna salad and when we made this the 1st time, he asked what was so different. No mayo, no cream stuff, nada. Here, let me show you!

Tuna Salad Kicked Up A Notch – Spicy Tuna Ceviche

Tuna Salad Spicy Tuna Ceviche | Sassy Girlz Blog

Ingredients:

  • 1 Can Tuna (packed in water)
  • 1 Fresh Jalapeno (seeded, minced)
  • 1 Red Onion (chopped)
  • 1 Tomato (diced)
  • 1 TBSP Fresh Cilantro (chopped)
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Lime Juice (squeeze 2)
  • 2 TBSP Olive Oil
  • Romaine Lettuce (to serve on)

Directions:

Ready? This is super easy….

Drain the tuna and put in medium mixing bowl.
Chop tomato, jalapeno, onion, and cilantro. Mix well with tuna. Drizzle with oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix 1 more time.
Sprinkle with fresh squeezed lime juice
Serve over lettuce.

ENJOY!

    Wow, that is so colorful and looks delicious. I don’t think I have ever eaten tuna fish without some form of mayo. (and I’m not a big mayo eater – so I think I’d love this recipe!)
