Chocolate Covered Oreos – Fun Spring Treats!

Aren’t those Chocolate Covered Oreos so dang cute!!  In my last post, I talked about cleaning out my pantry and ended up with a new pack of Oreos on the counter… Well, I HAD to whip these up! Chocolate covered oreos are seriously so super easy to make and way more than fun to pop in your mouth! I totally let Ethan help and he had a blast! I bet, you and the small people at home would have a great time as well! Spring is in the air my friends, so I picked this gorgo yellow but you could go with whatever floats your boat color wise!

Check it out….

Chocolate Covered Oreos

Ingredients –

  • 1 Package of Oreo cookies
  • 1 Bag White Chocolate Chips (I used these Wilton Yellow candy melts)
  • 1 or 2 Colorful Sprinkles (I used these Wilton Spring nonpareil sprinkles)

Directions –

Melt the Wilton candy melts in a microwavable safe bowl stirring in 30 second increments until completely melted. Once melted let cool 1-2 minutes. If you’re using white chocolate chips, add a few drops of food coloring to get whatever cute color you’re aiming for and mix really good!

Dip the Oreos one at a time in the yellow chocolate completely coating them. Place on a bakers rack or cookie sheet to set and sprinkle with nonpareils. Place in the fridge to harden up a bit before serving.

And that is it!! See! Easy peasy pumpkin pie my friends!

Later this week I have an Uh.maze.Ing new cupcake recipe for you! Light and fluffy Coconut Cream-y goodness awaits! It’s part of my Cupcake Project and  I know you don’t want to miss it!!

Well? What are you waiting for?? Get going on those Chocolate Covered Oreos!! make someone smile!
